The Village of Menomonee Falls will have another beer garden — the Depot Beer Garden at Old Falls Village — beginning Saturday, July 11.

The Depot Beer Garden, organized by the Menomonee Falls Historical Society, will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. every other Saturday until Oct. 3 at Menomonee Falls' Old Falls Village, N96 W15791 County Line Road. It will include live music, food and activities for children, according to a news release.

On Saturdays when special events are planned, the beer garden will open at noon instead of 3 p.m.:

  • Civil War Encampment: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 18, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19
  • World War II Days: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9
  • Roaring 20s Night: noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22
  • Old Falls Village Car Show: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19
  • "With so many summer events canceled, people are craving outdoor experiences, and we are happy to provide families with an open-air setting with live music, craft beer and great food," said Richard Burgess, beer garden manager.

Those at the beer garden will be able to use the new 24- by 40-foot pavilion this year, thanks to a donation from longtime Menomonee Falls Historical Society members Joseph and Louise Reis, according to society President Diane Harley. The pavilion was recently built on the park grounds near the stage behind the train depot.

Burgess added that the 17-acre park will make it easier for people to practice 6-foot social distancing. He said visitors are asked to wear face masks when not eating or drinking and to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer on a regular basis.

There will be a beer garden from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Fridays, July 10-Aug. 28, at Mill Pond Park & Plaza, organized by the Menomonee Falls Business Improvement District.  There will be live music from 6 to 8 p.m.

In addition, Menomonee Falls BID is planning a beer garden every other Thursday this summer, although details have not yet been released.
